It does set one to wondering when we hear that social movements last 60 to 80 years. Can we imagine that we are building leadership capacity to see us through a century-long campaign towards a true new future for humanity, particularly for women?
Can any individual within their lifetime be able to gain enough perspective to see where they fit into a social movement?
I hope that, together, we can get at least a "glimpse" of our place and our contribution to the longer social movements.
Right now, GWLN, through its association with the Law School at Santa Clara, is gaining invaluable perspectives into the transformative power of justice. My thanks to Cynthia Mertens and Akilah Davis for partnering with us in this quest for a new perspective.
I cannot wait for the end of July to begin to live, breath, and learn with those on the frontiers of justice.
What a blessing life can be.
