Where is our sensibility when a poor city spends upwards of $4.4Billion to host the Commonwealth games when 47% of their children under 5 years old are malnourished?
How can we support the demolition of the slums and the displacement of millions of people so a bright, shiny new "village" of a few thousand rooms is constructed.
I join Ashwini Jog, one of our 2009 Women Leaders for the World graduates, in being outraged that this world is so crazy about sports and the media coverage that brings.
