Summer Opening

This is bound to be an eventful summer.

The first of 30 Global Fellows (undergraduate students from Santa Clara University) just left. She was "in transit" a day longer than expected, so I got to handle my first emergency.

The rest leave between now and 8/18 for 5 to 7 weeks with their sponsor organizations in places as far apart as India, Ghana, Ethiopia, Turkey, and Guatemala -- to name only a few destinations!

On the near horizon is the start of the summer's Global Leaders for Justice leadership education program which starts July 31 and runs through August 7th. We have more than 20 wonderful participants from all over the world. This should be an informative session with huge impact.

Finally, on August 18, we start two weeks in Turkey with 21 SCU MBA students. We will visit businesses and academic institutions in Istanbul, Duzce, and Ankara. There will also be both a Women Leaders for the World reunion and one of the current Global Fellows serving there.

This will be an interesting three months!
